Date: Wednesday October 28th, 1998
Time: Started at 8:00pm and ended at 10:00pm.
Location: Trevose Firehouse in Trevose Pa.
Equipment: Camera -- Cannon Snappy AF (Auto Focus) with the strap removed. Film -- Kodak Gold 400 speed. Tape Recorder -- Sony Portable Cassette Recorder with external microphone.
Weather: This investigation took place indoors (obviously). The temp was around 70* inside. Outside there was a slight drizzle with temps in the low 60's* (I am assuming. No one that I know of actually took an outside temp.)
History: I didn't find out the ghostly history until after the investigation. Turns out that the firehouse was built directly on top of a family plot.
Those Present: Lew & Sharon G., Bob & Ilene R., Kenny & Donna B., Danny & Nancy S., Jen J., Rachel G., Joani S., and Andy K.
Report: Despite what some of the others had experienced, I personally had no results at all. Well, I shouldn't say no results. During the night sometime, I had just come from the firehouse recreation/living room and was entering the door that leads to a balcony just down the hall from the rec room. As I was walking through the door I felt what appeared to be, someone walking directly behind me. It was as though the person behind me was in a hurry to go through the door and couldn't wait for me to go first. I actually felt them brush up against my right side and back. I quickly turned to see who was in such a hurry, but no one was there. I then assumed that it was the door that I had been walking through, you know, like maybe it had shut on me slightly, but that was not the case either. I didn't know what to think at that point. That's about as far as my experience went that night. I'm still not sure if I am willing to except that as something paranormal or unexplained, but I did feel someone/something brush up against me.
I did take pics throughout the entire place. Others in the group seemed to have had better luck then me. I don't know what it was but I just couldn't seem to get a feel for any part of the building. This is very odd for me especially if the place is "supposed" to be active with paranormal phenomena. Usually, if a place is truely haunted, I can pick up some sort of vibes from at least one part of the location. This was not true on this night.
On this night, we tried something new that we have never done before. We experimented with a strobe light. As far as I know, nothing could be seen by anyone in the strobes light. But hopefully we will get some photographic results.
Shortly after the strobe light experiment we packed up and headed home for the night.
Impression: As you may have guessed from my above report, I had no luck on this night. If I was asked by someone if I thought this place was haunted, I would have to say no based on my own personal experience and lack of evidence while in the firehouse. Who knows though, maybe we need to pay the place a few more visits before I can honestly come to that conclusion. However, I would like to thank our host, Joe, and also the other firemen present, for allowing us the opportunity of investigating. I hope they will welcome us back sometime in the future.
