Report: We had originally come to the fort this weekend to paint. Which we did. We also brought along our children so that they could play while we painted. It was agreed ahead of time that if we wanted to we would investigate on this night as well.

I was so hot and tired after painting that I really didn't feel like investigating at all. I couldn't believe how draining painting could be. Nonetheless, I did investigate for a few hours. But then I rested for the remainder of the night.

For almost the entire night I had been awake like I usually am when we spend the night at the fort. But at approx. 3:00/3:30AM I decided to go into the Barracks with Lew to try and get some sleep. All of the kids had already been asleep and Diane was resting as well. Andy and Toni were off investigating. Anyway, Lew and I went into the Barracks and laid down on one of the bunks. Lew quickly fell asleep but I was not so lucky. I was being eaten alive by the mosquitos and found it almost impossible to sleep. Somewhere around 4:00 AM I heard some people talking outside the windows of the room we were all sleeping in. Assuming it was Andy and Toni, I just laid there trying to hear what they were saying and what they may have been planning on doing next. Their voices were loud enough to hear but not clear enough to make out what was being said. However, a few short moments later I did hear Andy, so I thought, say: "well their recorders are still here". And, mine and Diane's recorders were outside on the bench. After hearing that I quickly sat up and looked towards the window. I didn't see anyone. I then got up quickly and went outside thinking that maybe they were actually looking for us at that point not realizing we were all in the Barracks. When I got outside the door no one was around. I walked out from the building looking in every direction and still I saw no one. At that point I started thinking that maybe they were playing tricks on me and had run from me to be funny. Either way I sat down on the bench and just looked around. I never saw anyway.

At approx. 4:30 I saw Andy and Toni coming from the Officer's Quarters. When they approached me they asked if Lew and I or any of us had been inside the Officer's Quarters at all in the last few hours. I told them no and that everyone was asleep but me. They looked at each other and stated that that was weird because they heard someone walking through the place and actually exit or enter a door. They said they also heard a woman laugh and thought it was me. They also said that they got up to look and saw no one around. I then told them what I had heard and they said that it wasn't them because they were in the OQ's for a few hours and never left.

At that point Andy actually started thinking someone must have been inside the fort other than us. He said that the situations were a little to real to be paranormal. So, I went in and woke Lew then him and Andy scoured the fort looking for an intruder. Of course they found no one. Besides, if someone did get in they'd most likely get torn from limb to limb by the guard dogs. No lie. But they did look like I said and found no one. So, this is why I am writing about that experience.

Other than that I got nothing out of the ordinary when I was investigating.

Impression: My impression stands as before. Just because I was not successful this night does not mean there are no spirits within the fort.
