SHUTTER PROBLEMS |

|
The above photos were taken by PGHA member Bob R.
during our investigation of Rosedale Cemetery. Somewhere around the sixth
picture, Bob's camera batteries had started to drain. Bob told us that he
had just replaced them a few weeks prior and had only used the camera a few
times since then. The batteries should have lasted at least six months (from
prior experiences Bob knew this) with heavy usage. Nonetheless, the batteries
were now nearly depleted. Bob said that, as the batteries drained, he noticed
that the shutter to his camera was not closing correctly in between shots.
He made note of this so that he could examine the pictures once they were
developed. The above photos are the result of the problems he was
experiencing with the shutter. After pic seven or eight, the camera had died
completely. Having shutter problems? This is what you might
expect.
