This experience occurred in November of 1990. I was coming home from my fiancee's house; it was 11 O' clock. As I walked in the door I noticed what seemed to be bare looking legs, run up the steps. Looking back, I did not hear the sound of footsteps. All the lights were on as well as the TV. This led me to believe that it was my mother running up the steps, thinking that I had brought my fiancee in. She must have had her nightgown on and did not wish him to see her in it. I took off my coat and went upstairs to tell her she could come back down, that I was alone. She was asleep! I then suspected that it was my brother sneaking downstairs to watch TV on a school night. We both went to confront him. He too was in bed asleep. He also had long dark pajama pants on.
At this point we were worried that someone was in the house. My mom and I got a bat and looked around upstairs. Nothing. We then were about to ascend the stairs when we noticed my cat at the bottom starring at something. It then let out a huge hiss and bolted up the steps. We were freaked. When we went down we saw nothing.
Later on that evening, as I was sitting on my couch, I heard a swooshing noise. When I turned around, a painting on my dining room wall was swaying back and forth slightly!
