Purpose for Joining: Having had the pleasure of experiencing spirit phenomena first hand, I believe that spirits do exist and can interact with the physical world. However, although my belief in spirit existence is firm, I could not readily believe that they were necessarily being captured on film, video tape and audio tape. I could not simply take someone's word that such energies can be documented in this fashion. Convinced that orbs were dust and/or water spots, ectoplasm was smoke, vortices were camera straps and apparitions were hoaxes, I was compelled to gather my own data for analysis.
