Date: Wednesday, February 10th, 1999

Time: Began -- about 8:15pm; Ended -- about 10:15pm

Location: Mill Creek Farm

Equipment: Raynger ST2 infrared non-contact thermometer (thermal scanner), Moonlight Paramount night vision scope equipped with infrared, E.L.F.-Zone Electromagnetic Field Detector.

Weather: Outside -- clear and cold with the temperature as read by my thermal scanner ranged from 21-24 degrees F.
Inside -- Although some rooms were a little cooler than the overall dwelling in general, the temperature was ranging between 63-65 degrees F as read with a thermal scanner. The few rooms that presented cooler registered at 56-57 degrees F.

History: The overall history of the dwelling is still pending research. However, without disclosing to many details, we were made aware that poltergeist activity has been known to happen in the early morning hours of 2-3am. The original structure of the home was constructed in the mid to late 1800's. An addition was made in the late 1800's to early 1900's. The last addition to the structure was added in the 1950's. The owners have admitted to having experienced strange happenings that they could not otherwise explain. Further details to come.

Those Present: Lew & Sharon G., Bob R., Kenny B., Danny & Nancy S., Rachel G., and Jen J.

Report: This report may actually be a little short as compared to other member reports pertinent to this investigation. My own personal experiences were minimal compared to other members. However, the few experiences I did have, I did find to be of some significance.

First, I must confess that I did not witness any form of activity through my night vision monocular scope, or with my electromagnetic field detector. Thirdly, my thermal scanner detected only one temperature anomaly which was determined to be of natural origin. This specific incident happened while I was investigating outside of the dwelling in question. The outdoor temperature was registering between 21-24 degrees F. I was taking a constant survey of the area with my thermal scanner while outside. There were no strange readings until I aimed toward the rear of the home. I registered a drop in temperature that read a constant 16 degree F. Upon further inspection, I did find a body of water located in the direction I detected the anomaly. The temperature of the water was exactly 16 degrees, thus ruling out the possibility of any supernatural cause.

My second experience was very brief, yet worthy of documentation. Leading from the living room out to the foyer was a doorway. Throughout the evening, I'd passed numerous times through this entry uneventfully. However, on one occasion, I distinctly felt, as I again passed through the doorway, something brush (or swipe) across the top of my head. I made note of the incidence to document it in my report, but only after the investigation did I come to know that one of the owners had her own experiences with this doorway. At an earlier time in the investigation, PGHA Elite member Bob R. had taken some digital photographs of the same doorway. Although these images were lost shortly after being taken, due to some technical difficulties, 2 out of 10 images yielded a singular orb of light in the doorway. Both images were taken one after the other with only a 20 second between-exposure delay inherent in the camera. The orb of light itself, as presented in the second image, did move slightly as compared to it's location in the first image.

My last experience of the evening occurred while at the very top of the stairs on the third floor. It was on this floor in one specific room where many of our members simultaneously experienced phenomena. While Bob R. was preparing his digital camera for another round of images, we both had the luxury of feeling a coldness overwhelm the area in which we were standing. It lasted only a few short moments and vanished as quickly as it came. A minute or so after that, the cold seemed to come back. It again lasted only a short time, perhaps 10 seconds or so, and then vanished in the same fashion as the first time. Although something was sensed by the both of us, my thermal scanner did not register any anomalies before, or after the event.

Before I close this report, I would like to mention an event of which I played an indirect part. I mention this mostly for documentation reasons. In the early portion of the night, I was asked to enter the office area of Mill Creek Farm. More specifically, I was asked if I could smell anything in there while in that room, I was not able to detect any odor which I thought to be strange. Bob R., the one who guided me there to get my own impression, appeared somewhat baffled at the fact that I couldn't not detect an odor. He immediately entered the room and could not detect an odor he smelled only moments beforehand. For more information on this specific event, please refer to other member reports. End.

Impressions: Based upon my own observations and experiences at Mill Creek Farm, I would say that a spirit presence is still a possibility. However, having heard the experiences of other PGHA investigators, I am inclined to believe that a haunting is almost certain. Many other members experiences far exceeded my own. Based upon the collective of events, coupled with the history of poltergeist activity during early morning hours, I would highly recommend a follow-up investigation for the near future. An overnight investigation would provide a substantial opportunity for further documentation of spirit phenomena at this location. Development of photographs, location history and witness interviews are pending.
