LIGHT LEAK |

This photo was taken by PGHA member Bob R. during
one of our cemetery investigations. The red form you see in the image is
characteristic of a light leak. Notice how the artifact extends to the upper
and lower edges of the picture. Upon examining the negative image, one can
easily see that this form extends beyond the actual frame of the photo. Please
make note that a light leak does not always have to extend from two sides
of the image. We have seen light leaks that originate from only one side.
In any case, the artifact on film will always extend beyond the border of
the actual image frame on the negative.
