FLASHLIGHT REFLECTION

Trudging through dark places, it is a great idea to keep some sort of artificial light source with you. Of course the most popular choice is the flashlight. Normally demonstrated in a flashlight reflection is a sphere of light which can be mistaken for an anomaly. A few things to help you distinguish the difference are:

1. Although the photo is only two dimensional, you can still see the flashlight orb is on the stone and not somewhere between the stone and the photographer.

2. The flashlight orb is very bright in the center and less intense toward the edges.

3. The undeniable color of a conventional flashlight beam is present.

4. The monument in question, with its reflective surface, pronounces the glow of the beam and your cameras ability to capture it.

5. It was documented while taking the images, that a flashlight may appear in the photo.

Any of the above mentioned points could not necessarily stand alone except number 5. Any combination of at least two or more points should lead you to believe you caught a flashlight beam on film.
